Age of Fear: The Undead King, a fantasy turn-based strategy. The game features a novel battle system, two campaigns with solid fantasy stories and very flexible multi-player and skirmish modes.

The story takes place in an untamed fantasy land, where three forces: the Human Kingdom, the Greenskins' Horde and the Undead Legion - are fighting for domination and survival.


You will encounter quick skirmishes, where wise unit's cooperation is essential. You will visit distant lands either as a honorable knight or an evil necromancer. You will conquer cities and destroy ancient evil!

We understand that turn-based strategic games are a very niche product and not every player will enjoy the complex relations and strategies in our game. Therefore, we have prepared a demo version of our product which we hope you will enjoy!

The demo contains about of third of the first campaign (Rise of The Necromancer) and smoothly introduces the player to the Age of Fear world. After finishing the demo we hope you will order the full version and continue from your last save!

Requirements

Unlike many other modern games, the Age of Fear has been designed for low-end computers. No powerful graphical card is necessary (but it helps!) and game should work on any Java supported system.

Age of Fear requires at least Java version 1.6, which should be available for any modern system. We suggest using Oracle's Java Runtime Edition as it is the most mature Java Virtual Machine today. It can be downloaded from here.

The game was implemented to work on laptop (1GHz Celeron + 1.5GB memory is enough!) and profiled extensively, thus you shall have no problem running it on low-spec hardware. Most of processing power is required by game's AI module, thus better CPU will provide smoother play (multiple cores are also supported!).

There exist three separate installation packages for Windows (msi package), Linux (deb package) and Mac OS X. The license key is fully interchangeable between those versions.

Windows compatibility

Age of Fear should be running smoothly on all Windows versions with proper Java Virtual Machine installed. The game has been tested on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 7 and no critical errors were reported.

Edit:
-there is also new silhouette display mode (all units' sprites are displayed in their team's color for clearer distinction). Press P-key to activate (also press T and N for terrain and names display).
