Risk Faction is now available on Steam for a decent USD$9.99. The game itself has been out for a while now on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network, but finally knocks on the PC's door to ask for a belated sleep-over, and about time, too.

For fans of the physical board game of Risk, there's a version of the classic game tucked into the product, but we urge you to check out the beefed up campaign from Stainless Games, as it's colourful and quite deep in terms of its strategy and what it does with the original game's rules to bring it up to modern speed, so to speak (in that it's faster to play).

I've been gagging for a Risk game to hit one of the digital platforms (it seems like such a good fit), and EA's Risk: Factions is going to fill that void for me this week when it lands on Xbox Live Arcade (my favourite Risk though was LotR Risk - thanks Kosta) for 800 Microsoft Points (around AU$13).

Duke Nukem: The Manhattan Project also arrives for the same cashmoney on the same day. Check out some screens for Risk: Factions below.
