Ahead of its April 21 release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, today comes a big ol' slice of Dead Island 2 extended gameplay. With the post-apocalyptic zombie brawler set in sunny Los Angeles (or HELL-A, as its called here), the gameplay highlights the posh streets of Beverly Hills and Bel-Air overrun with the undead.

In case you missed it the first time around, Anvil Saga is a cutely pixelated blacksmithing sim frmo HeroCraft PC that puts you in charge of a smithy during the 100 years war. You take on requests from customers, keep them happy, uncover quests and slowly build out both your shop and your homestead.

Overnight the team revealed that Chapter 2 of the game is now available, and it takes on all the community feedback from Chapter 1.

One of the more interesting games we saw a few months back coming from developer Deck 13 and publisher Focus Entertainment was Atlas Fallen, a kind of boss-rush style big action-RPG battler set in a desert world with unique monsters and a disgruntled, angry god as its big bad.

The national game is about to get its next videogame entry by way of AFL 23, which Press-Start notes is getting a release across all major platforms this coming April, timing it roughly a month into the AFL season for 2023 proper.

So many games these days come with a press release or marketing tag proclaiming "Lovecraftian". But what exactly does that mean, and are they using it correctly? It certainly shouldn't just mean tentacled space monsters or sex cults -- there's much more to his writing legacy -- his character flaws aside -- than just big unknown monsters and dread.

As Aussie media we were invited out to Square Enix's Shinjuku, Japan, studio to not only get hands-on with Final Fantasy XVI, but to also spend time with the development team to learn as much about the game as possible. What we walked away with was a sense that this series has finally matured in a way that transcends its own lineage.

Though we'd wager that a Dead Space 3 remake would basically be a brand-new game. Dead Space 2 on the other hand, after what Motive pulled off with the Dead Space remake, yes, please. Pretty please, with sugar on top. But, as per the headline EA might only be 'considering' the idea as it's asking players via a survey if they'd be interested in more Dead Space.

It's not every day the gaming world crosses paths with the fashion world, where walking through a vibrant open world makes some room for walking up and down a runway. That's exactly what happened at Milan Fashion Week, where Blizzard collaborated with iconic Danish fashion house Han Kjøbenhavn to create some really, really, ridiculously, good-looking outfits inspired by the world of Diablo IV.

Recently we got our first in-depth look at Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, with an extended gameplay slice and behind-the-scenes video dropping for the highly anticipated game. This is the first game since the studio's brilliant Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, and it looks very different from what the studio has delivered up until now.

In that Microsoft is promising to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players with full feature and content parity, "so they can experience Call of Duty just as Xbox and PlayStation gamers". There are a couple of interesting takeaways in the announcement, one the Nintendo Switch isn't called out specifically, and second - we don't see how something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II would run on the aging Switch.

The 10-year partnership will see Xbox PC games make their way to the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, including Call of Duty and all Blizzard games if the Activision Blizzard deal goes through. Naturally, this news arrives as the deal finds itself under intense scrutiny, but it's a great sign nonetheless.

For some reason, it seems like we're getting a game based on the classic 90s sci-fi Starship Troopers. After a fun RTS (our Starship Troopers: Terran Command Review), the next game on the menu is called Starship Troopers: Extermination which is a "12-player, squad-based co-op FPS" inspired by the film. And yeah, the trailer definitely leans into that big time.

Xbox has updated its list for games coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service for February 2023, while including some games that will kick off March. Which is set to be another big month for the service, with the addition of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (Cloud, Console, and PC) on March 3.
