Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2, or simply a version of CS:GO that runs on the Source 2 engine, has been seemingly outed by the latest NVIDIA graphics driver. Where it was noticed that a profile existed for something called "csgos2.exe" exists.
This could mean that the Source 2 version of the game is coming soon. Or, not - it is Valve after all.
And depending on how that pans out players might not even notice any difference, ala DOTA 2's switch to the Source 2 engine. Which would make the headline above even less interesting. A Source 2 update has been rumoured for quite a while now, but this NVIDIA profile thingy does point to whatever 'csgos2.exe' is as something that's being widely tested.
Of course, as this is the internet (aka the place you're reading this right now) there's speculation and theories that Valve is prepping to debut a full-blown sequel in days, weeks, or minutes - with the title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 or CS:GO 2 for short. Most likely it's people not looking all that closely at the naming of an .exe file - 'csgos2.exe' as in 's2' or Source 2. An engine update that might not even change anything.
