ASUS Sabertooth X79 Motherboard (lga2011) Intel Core i7 3820 MSI GTX 570 twin frozer 2 16gb Corsair Vengeance ram Intel 520 series 180GB SSD Will these components work together? Anything overkill? maybe the ram? PSU to much? I want to be able to upgrade in a years time. |

in 2 years time intel will probably change the bloody socket again so it'll be new pc time. And yes 16gb is overkill, i'd like to see you ever use more than 5gb or so.

Ok so 16gb to 8gb I reckon 8GB as well. There is really no point to 16GB or more for gaming and general use. Sure, if you're doing some engineering analysis and stuff there is benefit, but you're probably not. It's all top notch. I disagree with TiT - I wouldn't hold off. You can say 'hold off' every week about everything. |

Put it this way then, don't go all out with an expensive card. Get a cheap one that does well but won't hurt your wallet if you want to update to the new nvidia cards when they come out in a few months. They are supposed to be very strong.

Where is the PSU? Also switch the CPU to a i5 2500k and motherboard for compatibility and you'll be laughing to the bank.
