Not that the story in Breath of the Wild wasn't there, but by many other modern gaming standards you could politely state that it was lite-on. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the forthcoming sequel to Nintendo's celebrated open-world opus, however, looks to be upping the narrative ante if this newest trailer is anything to go by.
An epic adventure across the land and skies of Hyrule awaits in The Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch. The adventure is yours to create in a world fueled by your imagination. As stated above, this new trailer, which reconfirms the game's release date as the 12th of May this year, highlights a handful of new enemies, new traversal options such as grinding rails and definitely hints at a deeper story. We can also see a slightly burnt or 'corrupted' Link at the trailer's close, which might just be from an opening salvo or it could hint at much larger things to come. Either way all comers around that time this year might want to push their dates laterally as this is going to be one super-hot property. We can't wait. |
