And it looks stunning, with 20 unique paintings covering 160 feet of the ceiling in a "deconsecrated cathedral in France." We're assuming it was deconsecrated before the painting, but having a massive Diablo IV inspired ceiling inside a real cathedral would probably double as a form of deconsecration.
The cathedral can be seen in full as part of the new Live Action Diablo IV Beta Trailer, narrated by Game of Thrones’ Charles Dance outlining the battle for Sanctuary. The art by Baroque artist Adam Miller is striking, and this is a pretty awesome bit of marketing for what is one of the most anticipated releases for 2023. Not only that but Blizzard is offering the chance for one lucky Diablo IV Beta player to have their image put up inside the La chapelle des Jesuites in France "to be glorified amongst the hallowed heroes of Sanctuary forever." For all the info on that competition, head here. Diablo IV is out June 6, 2023 with the Open Beta set to take place on the weekend of March 25-27. |
