EA and Mythic have announced Call to Arms, the first live expansion for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. The "live expansion" will offer a host of new content for the game including two new careers (Orc Choppa and Dwarf Slayer) and a whole new area called "Land of the Dead" that has nothing to do with George A. Romero.

The expansion will be offered as a free content update from early March and will offer new in-game scenarios and events to partake in as part of the celebration. You can have a look at the full list of new features by hitting up the official press release.

Kind of cheeky calling it a 'live expansion' though. It looks a lot like what other vendors refer to as a (free) content update. Expansions are usually bigger deals.

For example, its expected that WoW will launch the Ulduar raid instances in 3.1.0, which is a content update two patches away. The most recent expansion was Lich King that had many zones, level cap lifted, etc.

Its semantics but I was expecting the announcement of an actual expac when I saw the title.
