The latest cricket game has landed, and as part of the usual promo stuff we've been sent this video of Our Shane (Warne) launching Ashes Cricket 09 in London recently. The game is fully licensed and features all the official players, kit and venues.
Delivering all the exciting, athletic, skilful and technical elements of the sport, the game’s comprehensive ‘Ashes’ mode will feature all five Tests played out at carefully detailed recreations of each authentic venue. In addition, gamers will also be able to play Test matches, One Day Internationals, 20 over games and a series of challenge modes. The high definition current generation versions will feature full online multiplayer as well as support for local multiplayer games.
Hopefully it's slightly less painful than watching some of the recent innings. Here's the video, direct from the YouTubes:

Yeah he is doing it for the SBS feed (BBC i think)... not the foxtel feed.

Played the demo of this and it isn't any better than other cricket games that have been released. Also lolled at how bad shane warnes comments were in this game. Probably the most obviously scripted commentary I have ever heard in a game.

He's an awesome commentator imo, surprisingly so. Only thing that could improve him is a West Indian accent.

edit: cricket 96 was the best cricket game ever. The one you got free with weetbix
