Our resident gaming machine, Chad Drake, filled the AusGamers boots while I lived it up in Hawaii and Dan is on holiday, and put a stellar effort in, too. Alongside his recently posted Red Steel 2 review and his Halo: Reach multiplayer hands-on, Chad also took Alan Wake for a heady spin, but not nearly as heady a spin as his conversation with Remedy's managing director, Matias Myllyrinne, discussing the intricacies of crafting a thriller of this nature in videogames.

If you're at all interested in what Alan Wake has to offer, this feature is definitely up your alley.

I ordered the LE on the Amazon about a week ago, right after seeing the first 10 minutes that Remedy ganked in favour of this nerdiness marketing. GG

what's nerdy about interviewing the head of the studio making the game?

I think he means, that actually seeing the game made him want to buy it, rather than read a couple of c**** pontificating about it.

For a console only release I think they are going about it wrong. The leaked 10 minutes looks like it was captured off of a PC beta test of the game, how else would the leak have captured the video as it looks like a native capture and not externaly cam'd.

Their strategy is probably to cash cow on the console first where piracy is much harder to achieve than on PC, which they should be aiming to release some time after their console release has ROI'd 300% or whatever it is Microsoft have it set at.

More than likely will never happen though
