Report: Test Drive Unlimited Developer Eden Games Closed

Eurogamer is reporting that Atari-owned French developer Eden Games has been in a state of liquidation since January 2013, signalling an all but certain closure of the Test Drive Unlimited, and Alone in the Dark studio that fired most of its staff back in late 2011.

Eden Games' last release was Test Drive Unlimited 2 in 2011, and a number of former developers have since reconvened at a new indie studio Blossom Minds, who are yet to reveal their first game.

It's a shame that they'll lose their access to that IP.
TDU and TDU 2 were really cool driving games.

The 'social' side of the game was lame, but strapping the bejeesus out of Super Cars around Oahu and Ibiza was awesome.

Atari squandered a beautiful thing with TDU2.

Here's hoping that Blossom Minds does something similar.
