WildStar developer Carbine Studios has offered up a new DevSpeak video, this time putting the crosshair on crowd control, and just how their upcoming MMO is going to handle what I consider one of the more infuriating parts of the genre.

Crowd control in WildStar looks to be going for a more active experience in Carbine's MMO, aiming to ensure that players don't feel locked out of their character when an enemy decides to stun you. One example shown in the video is disarming, which will physically throw your weapon away from you instead of simply disabling. Run over and grab it, and you’ll be able to use it again.

Not all crowd control effects will be elegant though, with a number of crowd control abilities physically changing how your character functions. Confusion will actually switch your input methods, making you quite literally confused. Blind will also stay true to its name, and actually limit how much you can see on screen forcing you to be aware of your surroundings.

Check it out below.
