With Gamescom underway in Cologne, Germany, the media rollout as started at a steady pace, kicking off with content from all of the big guns, including Ubisoft and the tantalising Far Cry 4.

Today's video showcases some of the landscape you'll be traversing through such as the fictional town of Kyrat as well as it's surrounding Himalayas. These areas are also home to myriad wildlife such as honey badgers, tigers, elephants, rhinos and even the elusive snow leopard, as well as militia and the usual Far Cry fare of insane big baddies.

On top of this is the game's open navigation, now bolstered by an expanded wingsuit level of verticality and plenty of other vehicles (including elephants). And finally, today's video also reveals the psychedelic aspect of Far Cry 3 returns in 4 with a spiritual quest to enter Shangri-La.

Ubisoft has also revealed that anyone who purchases the game on either PS3 or PS4 will gain 10 keys to invite friends to play co-operatively with them via the PlayStation Network.

I'm pumped.
I've enjoyed the three so far (cry).
The first was a revelation in terms of a shooter that wasn't just a corridor/area affair.
The second, while flawed was still innovative in ways.
And the third was the best so far (cry).
I like the fact that the environments have been mixed up somewhat, the squirrel suit looks like great fun.

I can't help but feel like this is far cry 3 in a different setting... Will probably still pick it up but I don't have high hopes for it innovating... the Far Cry series is in danger of falling into the assassin of duty/call of creed formula, may seem okay now but how many sequels will ubisoft try to peddle before it gets stagnant?

Evolve:
A 4v1 first-person shooter monster hunting game (what ever that is) won the Best of the best of the best action game at Gamescom 2014.
So hooray,i think.

FarCry 4 came third.

I'm suprised so many people haven't heard of Evolve, first in that thread made a few weeks back, and then just now. Its been plastered all over the place for months, I thought everyone was well aware of it by now and pretty keen for it.
