There are two kinds of people in this world, those that regularly bust out Sim Tower and spend an entire afternoon building a skyscraper and filling it offices and apartments and lavish lobbies, and those that have never played Sim Tower before. Project Highrise from developer SomaSim Games and publisher Kasedo, looks a lot like Sim Tower. Which is a good thing.

Even the description kind of sounds like Sim Tower.
In this deep, multi-faceted business sim, you will create a vertical ecosystem from a wide variety of units, including offices and other businesses, with more to be revealed. Your Highrise must become the go-to destination in the city for corporate activities, shopping, restaurants, and more.

Managing your sky-scraping empire will be no easy task – growth will require a mastery of the various interlocking systems that are required for each type of establishment to thrive. Office workers will want to grab a quick lunch or coffee. Restaurants and their patrons will value location and convenience. Throw in the challenges of implementing utilities, ensuring easy transport and navigation around the building, and of course managing your finances, and it’s clear that success in Project Highrise will be no easy task.

And although that kind of sounds a little boring, as the words 'business sim' are want to do, early screenshots are very promising.

Project Highrise is due for release this winter on PC and Mac.

I don't remember playing a great deal of Sim Tower back in the day, but this does look like promising. I'll keep an eye out for this one.

I played SO MUCH Sim Tower as a kid.

I've always wanted a newer version that works on modern PC's, so hopefully this won't be s***!
