And so the unknown 2017 release date for PUBG on Xbox One, the console exclusive early access release for the "it" game, finally has a date. We would have cheekily guessed December 31 but we'll definitely take December 12. The announcement came at Paris Games Week, where Brendan Greene (aka PlayerUnknown) broke the news.

In other PUBG related news it seems that the relationship with Microsoft is maturing to the point where the game across both PC and Xbox will move from Amazon AWS servers to Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure. Not that players should notice any real difference.


The Xbox One version of PUBG won't feature in-game purchases for the duration of its Early Access period but will launch with three special Xbox themed limited-edition cosmetic packs – the PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack.
