After the official Battlefield Twitter account teased a June reveal by posting "Words that rhyme with Soon: June Boom", EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed during a financial earnings call that the big Battlefield 6 reveal is coming next month.

With leaked screenshots and early rumours pointing to a near-future setting with dramatic real-time weather changes and player counts pushed higher than ever before, Battlefield 6 is set to be a next-gen showcase for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.

Andrew Wilson noted that the next Battlefield will take "full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms to bring massive and immersive battles to life with more players than ever." That said, EA has also confirmed that the game will also make its way to Xbox One and PS4, with its release set for Holiday 2021.

The hype continued with Wilson adding, "Featuring maps with unprecedented scale, the next vision of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, and vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates it to another level."

Yeah, we're keen to see it in action.
