As per a new report over
at Wowhead,
Blizzard has been sending out a Wrath of the Lich King survey to
World of Warcraft players pointing to a re-release of the iconic expansion coming soon. The survey is very specific in that it's basically asking what things they'd like to see in Wrath of the Lich King Classic like mounts, pets, and character level boosts.
Wrath of the Lich King was the second expansion for WoW, following on from The Burning Crusade (which got added to WoW Classic last year). It was also released at a time when World of Warcraft reached peak popularity in terms of awareness, with its 2008 debut leading to it becoming the fastest selling PC game of all time at that point. It was a massive release too, adding the new continent of Northrend and the first hero class.
A fan favourite that was also critically acclaimed, a Wrath of the Lich King Classic re-release would be pretty special for players. As for when it'll be released, odds are sometime this year.
In other WoW news, Blizzard is set to reveal the new mainline expansion for the game next week - so be sure to stay tuned.
