August can't come soon enough for the Aussie-developed Cult of the Lamb from Melbourne-based studio, Massive Monster. The indie release which is being published by Devolver Digital features aspects from a number of different genres, but in all honesty it's the game's emphasis on cult growth and management that is perhaps its most alluring aspect.

As per its naming, the new Corsair HS65 Surround Wired Gaming Headset is a wired gaming headset where one of its big features is quality surround. As a brand Corsair is definitely up there in the PC space, so it's great to see that this also works a treat when connected to a PlayStation 5.

After being pushed back to later this year, Square Enix's open-world action-RPG Forspoken (PlayStation 5, PC) is now on track for a January 24, 2023 release. Based on gameplay footage we got back in March this is shaping up to be something of a visual spectacle, and an RPG that transports Frey, a young New Yorker, into a world fantastical creatures.

We finally have a date, as God of War Ragnarök is set to come to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 9, 2022. Which no doubt makes it one of the biggest late 2022 releases as a follow-up to one of the best games from the PS4 generation. To celebrate the news we also got a new CG trailer called 'Father and Son' that showcases and Kratos and an older Atreus.

At the somewhat ungodly hour of Friday, July 8 at 4AM AEST, though this will be the time we finally get to see more Skull & Bones. A game Ubisoft announced back in 2017, a game set during the Golden Age of Piracy with a planned 2018 release. Wind the clock a bit closer to 2020 and it was reported that the game was still in development but being rebooted.

Last year when Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition it was met with widespread criticism due to several technical issues and some questionable upgrades to the visuals. At the time it was rumoured that the studio was also looking to remaster the original Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto 4. As of now it looks like those plans are off the table.

It'll be an argument that long reigns -- who is the greatest of all time in the hallowed annals of the NBA. Though more often than not, in any argument or heated debate about the topic, Michael Jordan tends to win the fight.

This year's entry in the annual NBA 2K series, NBA 2K23, unironically 23 by calendar default, will feature the great man as its cover athlete for two special editions set to release.

Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 created by a group of passionate fans, and it's on track for release sometime in 2023. From its post-apocalyptic vision of London through to its very-Fallout take on Britain it's shaping up to be something very cool - be sure to check out the recent trailer if you haven't. And with that, yeah, it looks like Bethesda has been impressed too.

With new job listings going up, EA's new studio Battlefield Seattle is "focused on building rich, exciting stories with memorable characters and powerful experiences all in the Battlefield universe". The studio is ramping up as we speak with key roles like Design Director and Lead Mission Designer on offer, and it's all with the goal of creating a single player campaign.

YouTube channel 64 Bits is all about creating little demake videos, modern titles as they might have looked on older hardware. With authentic visuals, sound effects, and recreating iconic scenes and moments the latest game to get the demake treatment from the team is Elden Ring. As envisioned as a 16-bit SNES game, it looks like a long lost JRPG from the era.

XIII is a first-person shooter that made its debut back in 2003, where it became something of a cult classic thanks in part to its original (for the time) cel-shaded look. Based on a graphic novel series it follows the story of man who lost his memory and then finds himself in the midst of a global conspiracy. With a remake released in 2019, it was met with criticism and backlash from fans.

As is the way with games with online connectivity and multiplayer on dedicated servers, at some point in the distant future, parts of or entire games will no longer be playable. As part of a focus on "newer or more popular titles" Ubisoft is decommissioning servers for a number of its legacy titles.

Maybe you've heard about Doom RPG, a game concept John Carmack whipped up when he was given a phone that had a full-colour screen back in the days before smartphones were a thing. Naturally he started tinkering to see what sort of games could be programmed to run, with the result being a turn-based take on id Software's Doom called Doom RPG.
