Gotham Knights is shaping up to be... something. On the one hand, the game centres around the death of Batman at the hands of the Court of Owls, in a storyline pulled from some of the best modern Batman comic book arcs, but on the other it's also looking like it could be too much of a mixed bag of gameplay ideas not always gelling together.

And tonally, if the music in today's character spotlight is anything to go... let's just say we're a bit concerned.

Sometimes you just want something dedicated to a specific task. Something that excels at what it was designed for and, something that leverages needs and wants as part of its basic and dedicated design setup. Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 created by a group of passionate fans, and if you didn't know that going in you wouldn't be mistaken for thinking that this is an officially sanctioned Bethesda joint. Switching the location to Europe, there's new factions, societal structures, crazy scientific experiments, and the moody horror of exploring a post-apocalyptic underground.

And that comes in the form of the following: Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable, with Persona 5 Royal slated to drop for the Switch this October. The other two are in a bit of a "wait and see" holding pattern, but they're coming and for Ninty players, that's all that matters.

One of our most beloved Nintendo Switch titles not made by Nintendo or from Nintendo in-house, Mario + Rabbids, makes its console return in October of this year by way of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Introducing a new setting, new characters and new free-roaming element to battles, this entry in the now-definitely-a-franchise looks to be the biggest yet.

Portal: The Companion Collection brings Portal and Portal 2 together in one neat little package, and it's available now for the Nintendo Switch (price will be roughly $28 AUD). With the game optimised to run at 60fps at 1080p, the results looks impressive for a Switch first-person title.

We should probably preface that this is all currently based on rumour, and while we take so much of the rumour-mill -- especially where Nintendo IP and product is concerned -- with horse-sized salt-lick grains of salt, we kind of just want to believe there's some truth here.

So, with that out of the way, it's being speculated that we'll be seeing a Metroid Prime Remaster released for the Holiday period this year.

Back in the day, the 1990s, playing console games in Australia on a TV meant playing in the PAL 50Hz format. With NTSC 60Hz being the TV style found in the U.S. and Japan a lot of PAL releases weren't optimised so they ran slower, had borders, and were generally inferior. But hey, as youngsters we didn't know any better. So it's good to see PlayStation giving us the option to play classic games - in their original format.
